Innovation area I
Integrated trust model
The digitalisation of energy systems poses both technical and social challenges: Central digitalisation approaches and methods have been developed in or for domains that have so far placed significantly lower demands than those required in the safety-critical operation of the energy supply. In addition, the digitalisation of energy supply processes requires greater integration of decentralised players, a functioning interplay between them and their interaction with technologies. In order to be able to develop the efficient and sustainable operation of energy systems, both perspectives, which have so far been considered independently of each other, must be brought together in a common trust model.

Sub-project I.1
Conceptualisation and integration of the trust aspects
On the basis of preliminary work on technical trust, an integrated trust concept is being developed that takes equal account of technical and social facets and transfers them into an overall concept.
Technical facets are checked for clarity and completeness, while social facets from various disciplines are analysed and adapted.
The overall concept also includes processes for trust assessment and ensures flexibility and expandability for future revisions.
Sub-project I.2
Ongoing revision of the overall trust concept and (living) lab integration
In this subproject, a reference architecture for the overall trust concept is being developed in order to instantiate the technical processes for trust elicitation. In addition, a prototype will be implemented using a data stream management system and integrated into the project partners' laboratory environments. Trust aspects are integrated, transformation functions are developed and interfaces for HMI integration are created. The concept is continuously reviewed and adapted in an agile and user-centred manner.
Sub-project I.3
Merging the innovation areas and real-world laboratory integration
The integrated overall trust concept is a central research result and the integration element between various activities in the field of neighbourhood energy systems. In this TP, the development and technical implementation of the overall trust concept for use in simulations, laboratory tests and real-world laboratories will be finalised in order to take all relevant aspects and perspectives into account. The subsequent evaluation will be based on the specified use cases and will be assessed by users in living labs.
